Exchanges
A note on exchanges. Betfair, Smarkets and Matchbook charge commission on winnings, so their headline price is not what you actually keep. A price of 3.00 on an exchange charging 2% commission returns the same as roughly 2.96 at a bookmaker. We show exchange prices because they are usually the best on the board, and we say this every time rather than quietly letting them win the comparison.
